1) Koi
An image I made of Koi carp swimming at the greenhouse in Cardiffs own roath park. The image was originally shot using Fujifilm FP-100c instant film. The speed of the film led the cameras to slow the shutter speed and add motion the the creatures swimming in the water adding a dreamlike calmness to the print.

2) Swings
I've always had a fascination with carnival rides and these swing sets are a recurring theme for my work. The way they move and the colours that adorn them find a way to hold my attention like no other object. The sense of fun and adventure can be felt through the lines of the image, almost making you feel like it's still moving even though it's been rendered still by the camera.

3) Reflections
One thing I love about living in Wales is the varied landscape. In less than an hour you can go from the beach to the mountains and everywhere in between. This place has a certain mystique that I can never explain. Your back to an opencast mine as you face a vast open and mountainous landscape, that bears scars of the industrial revolution that tore it to shreds as little as a century ago.

4) Reservoir
Another ode to the beauty that came as a result of the industrial revolution. Wales is littered with acres upon acres of reservoirs, a still essential part of the mechanised age. Although the facilities are ever improving and evolving with technological advances, the buildings and waters still look serene and ancient.

5) Carousel
Bright lights and colours will hold me in place for hours. Watching a traditional carousel spin will always take me back to being a child and riding them myself. If I could I'd spend hours making images of every square inch of a beautifully painted traditional Carousel!
